The Katadyn Microfilter Replacement Cartridge (8014523) is designed for use with the Katadyn MyBottle White Splash water bottle purifier as well as the Katadyn Micro Microfilter filtered water bottle. It can also be used with Katadyn Exstream and Katadyn Exstream XR water bottle purifiers.
This Katadyn microfilter replacement removes bacteria, particles, cysts, parasites, and other contaminants down to the 0.3 micron level. It meets or exceeds EPA standards for the removal of Giardia and Cryptosporidium as well as 99.99% of waterborne bacteria. This Katadyn microfilter does not remove viruses - for a filter designed to eliminate viruses you should purchase and use the Katadyn Virustat filter cartridge.
The Katadyn MyBottle water bottle microfilter replacement is constructed of glass-fiber and activated carbon, which also reduces bad odors and tastes. It is recommended that you change this microfilter cartridge after approximately 26 gallons or about 160 water bottle refills.
