Coli among many others down to 0.5 microns in size. This filter is interchangeable with the Doulton W9120562, STERASYL and other 10" filters that use a 3/4" short mount. The Cerasyl slim line filter candle is ideal for use in multi-step systems where pre- and post-filter elements are in use. Removing bacteria and other solids from water is crucial to lowering the risk of disease and raising the quality of drinking water. Through the self-sterilizing silver-impregnated ceramic shell microscopic organisms and small pollutants are either destroyed or trapped before ever reaching your cup. The filter can also be washed. If your water quality is less than ideal, the filter may become clogged faster than you expect. Being able to gently wipe down the exterior of the filter will keep flow rates high and water more clear. The AquaCera W9510300 Cerasyl compatible ceramic candle water filter is effective for up to 12 months or when 3000 gallons of water has been processed. For optimal filtration we recommend changing water filters as soon as 6 months.
