The Pentek DGD-2501 Gradient Sediment Filter is constructed of 100% pure polypropylene and is ideal to use in residential, industrial, municipal, rural and commercial applications. Two unique layers of the Pentek Big Blue Sediment Filter provide up to 3 times more dirt-holding capacity than what your regular pleated, string-wound and standard spun polypropylene filter cartridges provide. Also known as part number DGD-2501, this gradient sediment filter has a temperature range from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

The filter depth of the Pentek DGD-2501 Sediment Filter is increased over 200% of string-wound and standard spun-polypropylene cartridges for performance, reliability and extended life. The larger outer pre-filter reduces the partial load to the inner post-filter which allows the filter cartridge to operate at a higher velocity with a lower pressure drop. The unique design reduces color, taste or odor to filtered water. This sediment water filter could be used with chlorinated or non-chlorinated water supply sources. Do not use the Big Blue Sediment Filter with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
