The Hydrotech 4VTFC25G filters water through four stages to ensure your water is free of the pathogens, dissolved solids and organics, pesticides and VOCs that lurk in your home's tap water. This model differs from the Hydrotech 1240 E Series in that it contains an exclusive sediment filter in addition to two carbon filters and the RO membrane. It also comes with an air gap faucet that prevents waste water from reentering your fresh water supply. Filters should be replaced every 6-12 months, while membranes should be replaced every 2-5 years, depending on usage.
