A water filter cartridge is not included with the clear water filter housing sump. This will give you the opportunity to select the optimal water filter most suited for your filtration needs. The Pentek 10" Filter Housing Sump is a whole house water filter housing unit.The Big Blue and Clear Housing Canisters cannot be used interchangeably. For optimum performance your Pentek 10" Big Clear Filter Housing Sump should be replaced every 5 years. The 10" Big Clear Sump can be replaced with the 20" Big Clear Sump. Both housings work interchangeably for Culligan, Kleen-Plus, American Plumber, Pentek, Ametek, and US Filter brands.

Collected by Trustpilot.comThis is an incredibly heavy duty filter sump. I was very impressed with it's durable attitude. However, it was NOT compatible with my Culligan HD 950 A ( R50/BBSA ). It was about 3 to 4 mm too big and would not thread onto the filter sump head. The Pentek claims to be interchangeable with the Culligan Model. But in this attempt did not work. I had to return the new Sump for a refund, and buy a slightly used sump and head attachment pair, from EBay. The saving grace of waiting 7 weeks for this incorrect fittling filter sump, was that the one I bought from EBay was only $53.95 as opposed to $118.26 from this supplier. Filters Fast CSR's should be commended for complete courteous and prompt service in refunding my purchase cost. Offsetting penalties, 1st and 10 . My ball on my own 50 yard line.
