Collected by Trustpilot.comThe 3M Aqua-Pure AP917HD-S is a very effective unit and recommended for chemical & sediment control. This filter markedly improved water quality over the last several years & not only taste & clarity. It has cleared up the water heater content (formerly milky white) to crystal, enhancing service time of the unit. Also the piping throughout the home is less likely to get clogged up as well as spigots, valves and toilet equipment. Previously flush valves became inoperable after about a year, but the current unit has been trouble free for 4 years. One caveat: filter cartridge should replaced annually, since it filters out chlorine and could lead to bacteria build-up over longer periods.
