The Honeywell WHLDT1000 Water Leak Detector can be hardwired to self-powered water heaters equipped with Honeywell gas valves to turn the main burner off when a water leak is detected. That way, you have a secondary alert if you do not hear the primary audible alert. This water leak detector is easy to install, too. No special tools are required to set up the unit. Simply mount it to the side of the water heater or place it by another water source prone to leaks.
