TheFilters Fast® Replacement for AprilAire 401 16x27x6 MERV 13 Space-Gard Furnace & AC Air Filter - 2-Pack is a compatible filter replacement for the AprilAire Spacegard 2400 Air Purifier. The FFC162766SGMM13 filter is made from 100% synthetic gradient media and fine carbon powder bonded to lofted polyester media for odor control and low resistance to airflow. This filter is supported by a 30 gauge galvanized expanded metal grid. It efficiently captures up to 98% of airborne pollutants as small as 1 micron.

Note: These filters do not contain fiberglass.

How do you install the Filters Fast® Replacement for AprilAire 401?

1. Remove the door.
2. Slide out inner assembly by pulling handle.
3. Place inner assembly on flat surface so pleat spacers are visible.
4. Open both end panels by pressing buttons labeled “PRESS TO OPEN”.
5. Remove pleat spacers by rotating and lifting both ends.
6. Open both hinged flaps by lifting along entire edge labeled “LIFT HERE”.
7. Lift media from inner assembly and discard media.
8. Place one cardboard edge of new media over the hooks on the inner housing and through the slots in the cardboard.
9. Expand media and place the other cardboard edge over the opposite hooks.
10. Close hinged flaps by snapping them in place.
11. With media pleats evenly spaced, rest first pleat spacer on yarn at either end, then carefully insert one pleat spacer finger into each pleat.
12. Position pleat spacer to align with notches on inner assembly. Use first pleat spacer as a guide for inserting remaining pleat spacers.
13. Snap pleat spacers down into the inner assembly.
14. Close end panels by folding up and snapping into place.
15. Slide inner assembly in outer housing.
16. Replace door.
17. Return power to furnace/air conditioner.
