The Filters Fast® FFDG-20BB-1 water filter reduces waterborne contaminants like sand, silt, sediment and rust. The 20" sediment filter replacement is resistant to chemicals and is best for residential, commercial, food service and industrial applications. Constructed with a coreless design, the Filters Fast® FFDG-20BB-1 is surfactant free, adhesive free and binder free. The true multi-stage depth filtration of this cartridge is ideal for residential, industrial, commercial and food service applications. The 20" Sediment Filter uses 4 separate layers of micron filtration, as the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles. This 1 micron filter is an inexpensive solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters). Do not use this filter with water that is of unknown quality or microbiologically unsafe without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

How do you install the Filters Fast® FFDG-20BB-1 Replacement for Hydronix SDC-45-2001?
- Prepare a a bucket with clean soapy water ahead of time because once you open the filter housing, you probably won't have access to water until you're finished.
- Turn your water supply off. You probably have a shutoff on the supply line located before the filter. If not, go to the hydro panel and turn the pump off.
- Relieve the water pressure on the lines before you unscrew the housing that holds the water filter. You can turn a faucet on inside the house to relieve pressure and let the water run until it stops. Then, shut off the water after the filter housing to keep the water from the house from draining back.
- Place a bucket under the filter housing. If the housing has a relief button push that to make sure all the pressure is gone. Unscrew the housing and take it off.
- Remove the old filter and clean the inside of the housing with soapy water and towels to remove any built-up debris. Unwrap and put the new Filters Fast® FFDG-20BB-1 Replacement for Hydronix SDC-45-2001 filter in the housing and screw the housing back in place, slightly more than hand tight.
- Turn the faucet off that you had running to relieve pressure. Turn the main water supply back on, slowly. Check for leaks around the cartridge housing.
- Flush the new filter with at least 3 or 4 gallons of water or until the water flowing after the filter is clear.
