Very stylish. Purchased this as wecsaw Ithaca family member's home. Center swirling really nice ...like an art object. That being said, very bottom heavy when pouring water from the carafe. Also when pouring the bottom center piece gets off center. It requires re-centering each time the carafe is set on the base. This was not fun. It was frustrating !! I contacted FiltersFast as our unit was making an obnoxious gear-grinding noise. They had to get in contact with the mfr who then sent FiltersFast instructions for correcting this noise. By this time, we had return shipped the unit to FiltersFast. For this high of a price, we decided not to buy a replacement unit.
