What contaminants does the Midea MIWF6200 reduce?

The Midea MIWF6200 is NSF 53 certified, which means that it reduces the following contaminants:

  • 2, 4-D Reduction
  • Asbestos Reduction

  • Lead Reduction
  • Mercury Reduction
  • Nominal Particulant class 1

  • Turbidity

Can using an expired water filter affect my refrigerator's ice maker?

Yes. As the filter becomes clogged with sediment and contaminants, water flow can decrease, which may slow ice production or reduce water dispenser performance. Replacing the filter on schedule helps maintain consistent water flow to both the dispenser and ice maker.

Why does my water look cloudy immediately after installing a new filter?

Cloudy water after installing a new filter is usually caused by tiny air bubbles trapped in the filter media. This is normal and typically clears after flushing the recommended amount of water through the filter. The bubbles will dissipate naturally, leaving the water clear.
