Pentek CRFC-BB Chloramine Water Filter 8-Pack
Remove chloramine taste and odor from your water with the Pentek CRFC-BB Chloramine Water Filter, which uses a bed of granular activated carbon and a radial flow design to remove chloramines and chlorine from your water. The radial flow design is created by the bed of carbon between the filter's core and outer shell, contributing to lower pressure drop and less carbon fines, which are often found in water treated with granular activated carbon. Radial Flow cartridges also have a greater life than traditional carbon filter cartridges. With municipalities across the nation now treating water with Chloramine instead of Chlorine, finding the appropriate filter to remove Chloramine in water is critical.

- Pentek Big Blue Filter Housings,
During the process of replacing our in-house copper piping with P-Tex, we decided to upgrade our water filter system as well, not knowing that our water supply contained chloramine, until I spoke with our cities Water Dept. And in between, we had tried to use chlorine removal filters (carbon), which just didn't work. But thankfully a phone call to Pentek put us on the right track, with this filter making just a tremendous difference in our water quality. And yes, it's been just over 1-year now, with some bleed-through of the chloramine just starting to take place, but with seemingly no change in water pressure. In summary, our spending ~ $1./week is truly a bargain, along with zero need for a water softener, etc. So if you have chloramine, and don't like the slimy water feel, etc., these filters truly work.Collected by FiltersFast.com
This filter is working well. I have used it for 2 months with out detecting any Chloramides from the filtered water. I test with Clorine/Total Chlorine test strips I purchased from Filters Fast. We use approx 6000 gallons a month. The incomming unfilterd water has about 1PPM of chloramides in it. I have not noticed any drop in water pressure yet. I hope to get 3 months of use out of it.Collected by FiltersFast.com
