The FFC175275TRNM8 filter will reduce airborne pollutants like dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander and dust mites. This residential air cleaner replacement filter, which is part of the Trane Perfect Fit Series, is made with 5" deep pleated Quality Pleats designed to replace other comparably sized air duct products. This Trane Perfect Fit Filter is supported with a 30 gauge galvanized expanded metal grid and has a MERV 8 energy efficiency rating. The frame is constructed of moisture resistant 28 point beverage board and the assembly of the media pack is totally bonded to the frame. For odor reduction, this 17.5x27x5 Perfect Fit replacement filter is made with fine carbon powder bonded to lofted polyester media.

How do you install the Filters Fast® Replacement for Trane BAYFTFR17M?
- Unwrap the new Filters Fast® Replacement for Trane BAYFTFR17M filter and place it in front of the old one so that you can see the bottom of the old filter.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dirt from around the old filter.
- Remove any obstructions from behind or below the furnace.
- Remove any debris from around the furnace itself.
- Ensure that no edges or corners are tucked into another compartment.
- Line up tabs on top of the filter with slots on top of the blower.
- Locate arrows on the backside of the frame.
- Align frame with slots on top of the blower.
- Press down on the frame until it locks.

The replacement is not the same fit as the original Trane Filter. The original Trane filter has a keyway slot and the replacement doesn't. So the replacement doesn't fit into the furnace correctly.

I leave my fan on my HVAC all the time, and you don’t smell my two dogs, I even occasionally ask my friends. If I’ve been gone all day I don’t get smacked in the face by stale smells like some homes. Easier to install than some filters and it’s a tight squeeze!

Collected by Trustpilot.comThey fit better now than they did 10 years ago. The subscription price cannot be beat. They do a wonderful job keeping my air clean, which is important because I have COPD. Also, I go through a little faster than I used to because I keep my fan running all the time because I have two dogs and a couple cats, I have asked people upon occasion if my house smelled like dogs and they have always said no, which is important to me, I wanna know if I’m getting nose blind, but apparently I’m not. The cats now mostly use the outside, but I do have one that does use the litter box but not often does it need to be cleaned so I don’t worry about cat urine smell. So I can’t report on cat you’re not being a big problem on smell in my house, but I know on rainy days dogs can smell doggy. Great filters!
