The Pentek DGD-5005 Dual-Gradient sediment filter is rated to filter down to 5 microns. The Pentek DGD-5005 is made for the Pentek Big Blue Filter Housings and will fit into any 10" 'Big Blue style filter housing. The Pentek DGD Series Sediment Filters feature high dirt-holding capacity compared to similar size sediment filters and will reduce sediment particles as small as 5 microns without imparting taste, odor, or color to your water. The Pentek DGD series are chemically and bacterially resistant due to their polypropylene construction.

This is a great filter. We have extra fine clay silt in our well water, that the usual 20 micron filter won't catch. This filter seems to catch everything, and doesn't clog up any faster than a 20 micron filter. In short, a much better job for about the same cost.
