Furthermore, I expected to open up the casing and see it starting to turn orange in a couple of weeks and I'd be replacing it sooner than the 3-6mo mark quoted. To my surprise, after a month, it was still white and my water is still fresh. Excellent product!
Collected by FiltersFast.comThis is an excellent product. We have been using it for several years in our whole house system, which has functioned perfectly. Our town water is very good an ozone process is used for purification but we have a significant scaling issue unrelated to the usual carbonate build-up. The scale, possibly a silicate from the fluoridation process, is a big problem with fixtures and is almost impossible to remove. This filter appears to ameliorate the problem to a significant degree, which was a big surprise to me. Bottom line: the filter works extremely well for its advertised use and appears to have some additional benefit in scale build-up.

A friend called to tell us that there was a water main break while we were away and to check our faucets for brown water or clogs. I immediately went down to check the filter as the water in my house was fine. Needless to say I changed the filter that was totally caked with dirt etc. We were definitely happy we had the filter.
