The Hydrotech 1240 M Series Reverse Osmosis System (4VTFC50G) filters water through four stages to ensure your water is free of the pathogens, dissolved solids and organics, pesticides and VOCs that lurk in your home's tap water. This model differs from the Hydrotech 1240 E Series in that it contains an exclusive sediment filter in addition to two carbon filters and the RO membrane. It also comes with an air gap faucet that prevents waste water from reentering your fresh water supply. Filters should be replaced every 6-12 months, while membranes should be replaced every 2-5 years, depending on usage.

Features of the Hydrotech 1240 M Series RO System:

  • 50 gallons per day capacity
  • High quality reverse osmosis membrane
  • 4-gallon storage tank
  • Sediment pre-filtration
  • Pre and post carbon block filtration
  • High flow 3/8" tubing
  • Air gap chrome faucet
  • Quick-connect fittings
  • Color-coded tubing

I received the unit yesterday, and installed it last night. Everything seems to be working well, and I think it is a good quality system so far. The instructions are HORRIBLE! Not exactly step by step. I would only recommend to an experienced do-it-yourselfer. I'm pretty handy, but it took some time to decipher.
