How does one simple fiberglass air filter cost $2,000? Must be one really good air filter, right?

Well, since we don't typically sell fiberglass filters, we were a little unsure of how to price this one. So for us, it wasn't a matter of how much a fiberglass filter might cost, but what a fiberglass filter might cost you.

We carefully inspected the few strands that constituted the filter media and came to the conclusion that this fiberglass filter would do very little to protect your HVAC system or your health, for that matter.

This fiberglass air filter will let in very large particles, pet hair and other large contaminants that will stick to the coils in your HVAC system, or even to the ductwork itself. Dirty coils and ductwork will reduce airflow, which will in turn decrease your system's efficiency and capacity. By putting in that " cheap" fiberglass filter, you could end up paying more in energy use and maintaining or even replacing your HVAC system.
