  • Replacing filter housing

I have an older Cuno housing which uses a AP110-2 filter that's 19.5" long. The housing is fine but very discolored (used to be clear) from rust from not maintaining the filter well. Is there something I can clean it with or can I replace the housing tube with any brand housing tube as long as the threads are on the outside so it fits into the existing?

There are no stickers or labeling on it any longer so it's close to impossible to model. I'd prefer to stay away form replacing the entire unit but if necessary will go that route.

    thanks!

Pick up some iron out at a hardware store and mix up a solution with it. Pour some of the solution into the empty housing and clean it out. Start there anyway.I know what will work for sure (what I use) but am not ready to throw it out just yet.

      Iron out

Thanks for the suggestion. Will see if I can find any and give it a shot.
